08: Fish and Tofu Pochero

This dish is rich in Vitamin C, which helps avert common infection from contaminating our bodies. Ingredients for this include 100 grams of fried tofu cut into 6 chunks, 1 piece of beef broth cube, 2 pieces of laurel leaves, 200 grams of fish fillet (salmon or any lean fish) cut into 6 chunks and 2 pieces of semi-ripe bananas each sliced into three. You also need 100 grams of sweet potatoes cut into 6 chunks, 100 grams of sliced green beans and 100 grams of Chinese cabbage. Lastly, you need 1 pouch of tomato sauce.

First, you must sprinkle the fish with iodized salt and then set it aside. Meanwhile, boil the water with the broth, sweet potatoes, bananas and laurel leaves. Simmer for 5 minutes before adding the tomato sauce and some fish sauce to taste. Let it simmer again for 10 more minutes. Then, add the fish, green beans and tofu. Let it stand for about 5 minutes before adding the Chinese cabbage. When the cabbage is cooked, the meal is now ready to be served.
