01: Countable and Uncountable nouns
A: -Much / Many / A few / A lot of
A. Countable nouns – these are the objects that we can count. They could be in singular or plural form. It also answers the question “How many...?”
Examples:
Singular: | Plural: |

knife | knives |
There are many delegates who attended the conference last week.
Only a few students joined the conservatory music program.
B. Uncountable nouns – we sometimes regard them as non-count mass. We can`t insert articles a or an before them and they are always in singular form. They answer the question “How much..?”
Examples:
Water Information Soil Sand
There`s much water in the bucket.
Chen has a lot of work to finish this weekend.
Note: Some and any could be used as both countable and uncountable nouns when referring to specific objects.
